The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and managing client relationships within the catering department. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue, ensuring exceptional customer service, and coordinating with various teams to deliver high-quality catering services. The Catering Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in achieving business growth and maintaining the company's reputation for excellence in catering services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand the client base.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of events and catering services.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for business growth.
- Prepare and present proposals and contracts to clients, ensuring all requirements and specifications are met.
- Manage the sales pipeline, track progress, and report on sales activities and results to senior management.
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards in all sales activities.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Required

Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in catering sales or hospitality sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Experience in developing and maintaining client relationships within the hospitality industry.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong negotiation and sales skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present confidently to clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic sales plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
