As a member of the Catering team at The Haven, you’ll play an important role in creating enjoyable mealtimes for our residents. From preparing and serving quality food to sharing a friendly smile and a few words, you’ll help make each day a little brighter.

About the Role

  • Providing resident meal service, including assisting with meal preparation, delivering a quality dining experience and supporting residents as required
  • Helping create welcoming and enjoyable mealtimes where residents feel valued and cared for
  • Supporting your peers and contributing to a friendly, cooperative team environment
  • Working safely to protect yourself, your colleagues and our residents, while closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
  • A genuine heart and passion for providing high quality care and support to older people
  • Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to be part of a team
  • A good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
  • Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds
  • NDIS and Police check clearance, or willingness to obtain
