Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Catering Assistant within our Canberra Operations team.

Key Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Provide catering services including Barista, Waiter service, food preparation, plating service and handling
• Managing the servicing of all staff kitchen areas, including supplies and cleaning
• Monitor all catering stock levels and arrange for ordering
• Review, manage and maintain the EMS Meeting and Room Scheduling Software in coordination with Reception
• Set, up, configure, clear and clean kitchens, client meeting rooms, conference rooms, lunches, functions, and events
• Kitchenhand duties including food prep, plating and dishes
• Ensure all catering equipment is appropriately maintained and serviced
• Where necessary out of hours work may be required to support events and functions
  

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• A preference for 1-2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
