Category Specialist - Copper and Brassware

About the Role

This is a great opportunity to join our Merchandising team as a Category Specialist and build your career with a business that’s always moving forward. You’ll work closely with our Category Lead to support strategic planning, category development and product range optimisation, while partnering across the supply chain with domestic and international suppliers, branches and internal teams. Our branch network is at the heart of Reece; as part of your induction, you’ll also spend time working in one of our branches to learn more about our products, brands and customer relationships.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the development and delivery of category plans that help drive strong customer and commercial outcomes.
• Providing reporting and insights on category portfolios; analysing results to provide updates on trends and other impacts
• Working with suppliers and key internal stakeholders to support supplier management, product decisions and commercial conversations.
• Collaborating with teams across the business to make sure our product strategy reflects what our customers need.
• Using your operational and commercial mindset to identify opportunities to improve product performance and support better customer experiences.
• Having the customer at the heart of everything you do, helping us build customers for life at Reece

About you

We’re looking for someone who is curious, collaborative and keen to learn. You’ll bring:

• Experience in a buying, category or merchandising role, with a genuine interest in products and how they meet customer needs.
• Great communication skills, a positive can-do approach and an inquisitive mindset.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business as well as external vendors and suppliers.
• Good Excel and Power BI skills essential
• Business or Marketing degree qualification
