As a Category Sourcing Management Specialist (m/f/d) Plastic you will be based in Blieskastel (Germany) or Obernai (France) for a permanent contract.

What you will do?

  • Develop and implement a sourcing strategy for plastics that supports the company's supply chain.
  • Manage policies and processes for purchasing the raw materials needed for manufacturing products, research, or other business activities.
  • Monitor and analyze the raw materials market, global economic conditions, and events to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Focus on risk: Identify, evaluate, and monitor suppliers and develop relationships to ensure reliable supply and guarantee the quality and availability of necessary raw materials.
  • Oversee tenders and contract negotiations to secure the best prices to meet raw material needs.
  • Strategic support of our main internal stakeholders to ensure our inventory levels targets and manufacturing needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards governing the purchase and delivery of goods.

What about you?

  • You have a University degree in business management, supply chain management, or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in a category management position, with an expertise in the field of plastic raw materials.
  • You must be fluent in English.
  • You demonstrate strong negotiation and contract management skills, ability to collect and analyze information, solve problems, and make decisions based on this analysis.
  • You are recognized for your interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain strong and lasting relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • You are able to analyze and evaluate complex situations, anticipate potential challenges, and develop long-term plans to achieve objectives.
  • You demonstrate a change-driven leadership with a growth mindset, resilience management to react and be proactive in preventing crises
