Job Purpose and Impact

The Category Marketing Lead - FarmMax will drive category growth and value creation for mid and large dairy farms by developing customer-centric marketing strategies, generating actionable market and customer insights, identifying customer jobs-to-be-done, and leading the development of differentiated products, services, solutions, and digital offerings. This role connects customer needs with commercial and technical capabilities to accelerate customer success, market leadership, and business growth.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the FarmMax category strategy and annual growth plans for mid and large dairy farm segments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth ambitions.
• Develop deep customer understanding through market research, customer immersion, voice-of-customer programs, farm visits, and data-driven insights.
• Identify and prioritize customer jobs-to-be-done, pain points, unmet needs, and opportunities across the dairy farm value chain.
• Generate actionable customer, market, competitive, and industry insights to guide portfolio strategy, commercial initiatives, and innovation pipelines.
• Collaborate with customers, sales, technical teams, and external partners to co-create innovative products, nutritional solutions, services, and business models.
• Partner with commercial, technical, digital, and innovation teams to ensure effective launch and adoption of new products, services, and digital solutions.
• Lead development and commercialization of new offerings that improve farm productivity, profitability, sustainability, animal performance, and customer experience.
• Design and scale digital solutions and services that enhance decision-making, farm management, performance monitoring, and customer engagement.
• Define and activate differentiated customer value propositions tailored to mid and large dairy farm segments.
• Develop category positioning, segmentation, customer journey frameworks, and demand generation programs that strengthen market leadership.
• Monitor category performance, customer adoption, competitive activity, and ROI to continuously optimize growth strategies.
• Act as the voice of the customer within the organization and influence strategic priorities through insight-driven recommendations.
• Deliver customer-facing content, thought leadership, training programs, events, and marketing collateral that reinforce FarmMax's value proposition.
• Lead strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives to accelerate category growth and customer value creation.
• Independently manage complex business challenges while influencing stakeholders across functions and levels.
• Lead the execution of the marketing strategy and annual plans for the assigned product or category, incorporating brands and customer segments as relevant and in alignment with broader business objectives.
• Partner with broader marketing teams to lead the execution of comprehensive product or category promotional programs, campaigns and other marketing activations in alignment with budgets and relevant competitive, customer and market dynamics.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in veterinary science and MBA.
• One - two years of related work experience.
• Other minimum qualifications may apply.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in dairy nutrition, animal health, livestock solutions, agribusiness, or related agricultural industries.
• Demonstrated success in category management, product marketing, innovation, or customer strategy roles.
• Experience conducting customer research, market analysis, segmentation, and insight generation.
• Knowledge of dairy farm economics, operations, productivity drivers, and customer decision-making processes.
• Experience leading new product, service, or digital solution development and commercialization.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
• Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments.
• Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
