About the Role

The Procurement Lead will be responsible for procurement activity in relation to major Commercial Property projects across the ANZ portfolio. This includes development and execution of the Project Procurement strategy to drive commercial value, manage risks, and sourcing activity to support the project's delivery objectives within budget and timing requirements.

Work Hours: Full Time (40 hours weekly)

What will your day look like?

As a Procurement Lead, you will:

Be responsible for the performance of the procurement related activities to optimise project spend, including delivering and building pipeline, strategy development and execution, managing spend and optimizing buying channels.

Support and partner with the Group General Manager – Property and Project Directors to manage the project effectively to meet budget and timeline targets, and overall project objectives.

Develop project procurement plans that integrate business and corporate strategy, supported by appropriate digital enablers and category intelligence. Define buying channels that are globally documented and collaborate with the Work Design Team to ensure there is a stringent process in place to drive contract compliance and budget compliance.

Drive down total cost of targeted goods and services with solutions that meet customer and business needs through proactive development and execution of appropriate strategies.

Be accountable for understanding contribution to the Procurement business plan and have agreed plans to meet deliverables and Procurement KRAs and targets.

Identify and manage project procurement risks, including security of supply and regulatory risks.

Stay abreast of regulatory, industry and supplier trends, build relationships internally and externally, and provide direction and strategy based on leading practices, innovations and market disruptions.

Contribute to achieving Procurement KRAs and performance targets.

Work collaboratively across Procurement (Australia, New Zealand & Pacific, and APEA) and OCM stakeholders.

Build trusted relationships with key business and functional stakeholders.

Help elevate the Procurement brand across divisions, business units, country leaders, Procurement and Finance teams.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

• Experience in a Project Procurement leadership role, ideally supporting delivery of large construction projects adopting various different project methodologies.
• Strong supplier relationship management with both internal and external executive stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to identify and leverage innovative concepts through complex projects.
• Ability to align category and project strategy to business strategy.
• Strong negotiation and price analysis skills.
• Ability to solve highly complex and ambiguous problems while managing risks appropriately.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyze cost versus risk trade-offs.
• Understanding of broader business context and procurement priorities.
• Knowledge of supply market dynamics, third-party risk, regulatory requirements and market trends.
• Understanding of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including:.
