The Opportunity
The Category Manager - Facilities Management Services is responsible for establishing and implementing category strategies to support the successful mobilisation of new City partners. This includes leading supplier sourcing, negotiation and contracting activities across key facilities management categories.
Working closely with Procurement and FM Operations stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to leverage existing supply arrangements, drive commercial value and support operational excellence throughout implementation and beyond.
Your key responsibilities:
• Development, implementation and ongoing management of the company’s commercial service-related contracts strategy.
• Manage the Contract lifecycle; including all activities relating primarily to contracts for equipment maintenance
• Analyse the Groups spend by category, supplier & business unit, identify the opportunities and deliver best practice focused on cost, quality and service level agreements.
• Effectively negotiate with suppliers and stakeholders to achieve best outcome
• Liaise with 3rd parties, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure performance standards are maintained
• Prepare scope of contract including request for tender documentation
What we are looking for:
• Minimum 5 years' experience in contracts management, ideally within equipment maintenance or facilities management.
• Demonstrated experience preparing scopes of work, tenders, commercial contracts and service level agreements.
• Strong written communication skills with experience producing reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Proven supplier negotiation and stakeholder management capability.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and contract performance.
• Ability to analyse data and develop practical, commercially focused recommendations.
