Your mission

MegaGroup Trade Holding is an international technical wholesaler specializing in water solutions that improve people’s lives. We take pride in addressing global water challenges and supporting sectors such as Irrigation, Livestock, Swimming pools, Building services, and industry.

Being a Category Managerat MegaGroup, you are responsible for the performance, development, and profitability of your category Commodities (e.g. pipes, fittings, valves,...)across MegaGroup’s European operating companies. You act as the entrepreneurial owner of the category, driving growth, safeguarding margins, and ensuring the portfolio delivers clear and sustainable value to customers and operating companies.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy & Portfolio: Define, own, and continuously refine the category strategy and multi-year portfolio roadmap.

  • Commercial & Financial Ownership: Take full P&L responsibility for the category, including sales, margin, and profitability.

  • Supplier Management & Procurement Alignment: Act as the main interface for suppliers for innovation, portfolio development, and long-term partnerships.

  • Market Development & Sales Enablement: Translate category strategy into compelling value propositions and go-to-market plans.

  • Data, Market & Performance Insight: Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive developments and translate insights into actions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance:
    Work closely with Procurement, PIM, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing to ensure flawless execution and compliance.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in technical water solutions, preferably with Commodities, within wholesale, distribution, or industrial environments.

  • 5+ years of experience in category, product, or commercial management with exposure to P&L responsibility.

  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with the ability to drive growth, margins, and portfolio performance using data and insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively drive sales enablement and product training in collaboration with product experts, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

  • Confident stakeholder manager and skilled negotiator, able to influence without formal authority in a matrix organization

  • Strategic thinker with a strong ownership mindset, combining hands-on execution with sound decision-making

  • Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a strong plus
