Amazon's Retail team is looking for a Business Manager to join our Amazon Business team. Since launching in Australia last year, Amazon Business is in a rapid growth phase — and this role offers the opportunity to shape how we scale, deepen our selection, and deliver for business customers. We are an AI-driven org, so you will be working with AI tools and agents from day one to move faster and go deeper than a traditional retail team does. As a Business Manager, you will be a passionate customer and vendor advocate within Amazon. We are looking for candidates with strong analytical and program management skills, together with proven commercial judgement and stakeholder experience. This role suits a strategic operator who can work across category teams, vendor managers, and central partners to drive the project end to end, bringing the right selection, mechanisms, and inputs to the customer. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited to apply AI to scale their own impact.

To do well in this role, you will bring:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to earn trust and influence, including holding stakeholders more senior than you to a high bar
- Learning-based problem-solving, breaking issues into work streams and working backwards from key deadlines
- Advanced program management skills, with a strong sense of ownership over outcomes
- Advanced analytical skills, deep diving data to surface and size opportunities
- Comfort running a wide range of projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and operate with limited guidance
- Strong commercial and people judgement
- The ability to think both strategically and tactically
- Curiosity about AI and a willingness to build AI into your daily workflows, from analysis to vendor prep to writing

Key job responsibilities
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and partner teams across Retail, central functions, and vendor-facing teams
- Analyse data and metrics to drive continuous improvement, using AI tools and agents to go deeper and faster than a manual analysis would allow
- Manage project timelines and deliverables end to end, working backwards from key dates and unblocking the team along the way
- Develop and implement process improvements, including building or adopting AI workflows that scale your own and the team's output

A day in the life
You will work with teams across Retail, central functions, and vendor-facing partners to spot opportunities, solve hard problems, and ship results. A typical day might include digging into performance metrics with the help of AI agents, running a cross-functional working session, and putting together a recommendation that improves the customer experience. Expect to switch between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, and to use AI as a multiplier across both.

Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
- 3+ years of with Excel experience
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, business or related field focused on analytics
