About The Role

Vinarchy is building a high-performing procurement team and we're looking for a commercially minded Procurement Category Manager to join us in Adelaide.

This is not a role where you'll simply manage existing contracts.

You'll take ownership of key indirect procurement categories including IT, Labour Hire Professional and Corporate Services, developing category strategies, leading sourcing events, negotiating commercial agreements and uncovering opportunities to reduce cost, improve compliance and drive measurable commercial outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role is a key contributor to the development of procurement capability across the business. While this is not a people management role, you will lead strategic procurement initiatives, influence stakeholders and drive commercial outcomes across your category portfolio.

What you'll be doing

• Build and execute category plans from the ground up
• Identify savings opportunities through spend and data analysis
• Lead end-to-end procurement activities including RFXs, tenders, contract negotiations and supplier management
• Drive procurement compliance across the business
• Develop strong stakeholder relationships and influence business decisions
• Deliver measurable commercial outcomes across cost, service, risk and sustainability
• Manage a diverse portfolio of indirect spend categories across multiple business functions and locations.
• Support responsible sourcing initiatives and develop strategic supplier partnerships that deliver long-term value.
• Oversee procurement activity across a multi-million-dollar indirect spend portfolio.
• Identify opportunities to optimise supplier performance, reduce risk and enhance value creation across categories.

• Experience managing indirect procurement categories
• Strong procurement process knowledge, including sourcing, tendering, contract drafting and negotiations
• An analytical mindset and genuine curiosity for finding opportunities in data
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• A proactive, can-do attitude and desire to make an impact
