As our new Category Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and managing a portfolio of strategic Trade Partners, helping us deliver quality projects, drive innovation, and build long-term industry partnerships.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute strategies for your portfolio of Trade Partners to ensure alignment with upcoming projects.
  • Lead master contract negotiations covering core terms and conditions.
  • Oversee performance management across projects, with a focus on safety, quality, financials, capability, and capacity.
  • Act as the escalation point for Trade Partner issues, driving resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support the evolution of our Trade Partner Engagement Framework, including policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to risk management, compliance, and business continuity planning.

Who You Are:

  • Self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in vendor management, procurement, or commercial roles - ideally with major contractors or in large-scale construction environments.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute portfolio strategies, negotiate complex contracts, and manage supplier performance.
  • Strong supply chain knowledge and established industry networks.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Construction, or related fields are highly regarded.
