About the role 💄
As Category Manager at Lyko, you own the commercial performance of your part of the category. That means full responsibility for your supplier base, from negotiations and campaign execution to performance tracking and day-to-day relationships. You operate with real autonomy, make decisions that matter and work closely with your Senior Category Manager to execute on a category strategy that drives growth. This isn't a support role, it's a commercial ownership role. You'll be expected to identify what's working, fix what isn't and constantly push for better results.

In practice, this means:

  • Owning supplier performance within your scope - driving growth, improving terms and keeping relationships strong
  • Negotiating with suppliers within a defined commercial framework, with support from your Senior Category Manager where needed
  • Executing category initiatives and campaign plans that translate strategy into sales
  • Tracking KPIs, analysing performance and taking action based on what the data tells you
  • Coordinating with marketing, pricing, online and studio to ensure seamless go-to-market execution
  • Identifying new brands and opportunities that strengthen the assortment and keep us relevan

Who we're looking for ✨
You're commercially sharp, relationship-driven and comfortable owning your numbers. You know how to navigate a tough negotiation and still leave the supplier feeling good about working with you. You're proactive by nature and you don't wait to be told what needs fixing.

You probably recognise yourself here:

  • Solid experience from a buying, category or commercial role, ideally with exposure to both e-commerce and retail
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of improving supplier terms and driving category growth
  • Analytical and data-driven, comfortable working with Excel, BI tools and performance data
  • A curiosity for consumer behaviour and market trends, beauty experience is a plus but not a must.
  • Clear communicator who can align internal teams and external partners without losing momentum
  • Fluent in English and Swedish
  • Relevant degree in business, marketing, purchasing or similar
  • International experience is a plus

About the role and the team 🤝
As a Category Manager at Lyko, you will be a key part of our Purchasing team and report directly to the Senior Category Manager, who owns the overall category direction and strategic supplier relationships. You'll also work closely with a Buyer who handles operational execution on the supplier base. Your role is the commercial engine in between — driving results through focused ownership, smart negotiation and consistent follow-through. This is a permanent position with a 6 month probation period based in Stockholm, starting as soon as possible or at a mutually agreed date. You'll work in a fast-paced, ambitious environment where your impact is visible and where beauty, business and culture actually collide.
