Strategic Sourcing - Category Leader

Overview:

Category Leader is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for direct categories supporting global, regional, and local operations. This role leads procurement activities, supplier relationships, negotiations, cost management, and sourcing initiatives while supporting continuity of supply and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned direct or indirect categories.
• Lead global, regional, and local negotiations through RFX and RFP processes using the established Strategic Sourcing Process.
• Analyze category spend and market trends and apply a total cost approach to sourcing decisions and long term supply arrangements.
• Leverage data analytics, market intelligence, sourcing dashboards, and AI-enabled tools to improve spend visibility, supplier performance tracking, cost modeling, savings pipeline management, and risk identification.
• Manage key supplier relationships, supplier performance, ongoing cost tracking, agreements, contracts, and related commercial activities.
• Lead supplier related issue resolution involving pricing, continuity of supply, performance, and continuous improvement.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Relevant experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain sourcing activities, with the job profile identifying experience levels of 5 to 7 years and 7 to 10 years.
• Knowledge of supplier development, negotiation, LEAN manufacturing tools, problem solving and analysis tools, and advanced cost reduction methods.
• Experience with MS Office, SAP, MS Project, COMPLIANT PRO, and ARIBA.
• Advanced English proficiency and availability to travel; APICS training is preferred.
