We are looking for a Global Category Lead, Mechanics to drive strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management for the Mechanics category. This role will focus on delivering competitive cost, quality, and time-to-market outcomes while supporting innovation, risk mitigation, and business continuity across global operations.
Lead global strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management for the Mechanics category, including supplier lifecycle planning and business continuity
Develop and execute procurement strategies such as benchmarking, alternate sourcing, value engineering, cost modeling, and risk mitigation to drive cost savings and value creation
Manage global mechanics suppliers through negotiations, contract management, and performance governance to ensure competitive pricing, delivery, and risk coverage
Analyze spend, cost structures, price competitiveness, and value‑chain insights to identify savings opportunities and improve overall cost efficiency
Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, leveraging mechanical expertise to optimize requirements, designs, and category KPIs.
Bachelor’s degree in with at least 3–5 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within mechanical or engineering-related categories
Proven experience managing global suppliers and negotiating contracts
Strong analytical capabilities in spend analysis, cost modeling, and price competitiveness
Strong technical understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes
Ability to influence and communicate effectively across a global organization
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complexity.
