Category Lead – Gaming Peripherals, Greater Asia

We are seeking a seasoned and entrepreneurial Category Leader to drive the growth of our gaming accessories and peripherals business across Greater Asia. This role will be pivotal in shaping and executing a high-impact 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) strategy to accelerate revenue, margin, and market share.

The ideal candidate will bring deep understanding of the gaming ecosystem, including gamers, platforms, influencers, and retail dynamics, and will be instrumental in building a scalable and future-ready business.

What a Category Lead – Gaming Peripherals, Greater Asia does at HP:

1. Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Define and execute a comprehensive category strategy aligned with regional and global priorities.

  • Drive aggressive growth plans with clear ownership of revenue, margin, and share targets.

  • Identify new growth opportunities across markets, channels, and segments.

2. 4P Excellence

  • Product: Shape portfolio strategy based on gamer needs, trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Price: Ensure competitive and value-driven pricing aligned to market dynamics and PFV (Price for Value) expectations.

  • Place: Strengthen omni-channel presence across retail, e-commerce, and gaming-focused platforms.

  • Promotion: Drive impactful marketing initiatives including partnerships, community engagement, and influencer collaborations.

3. Ecosystem & Market Development

  • Build strong connects within the gaming ecosystem (eSports, streamers, communities, platforms).

  • Leverage ecosystem insights to influence product roadmap and go-to-market strategies.

  • Identify partnership opportunities to enhance brand visibility and consumer engagement.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with global category teams, marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance.

  • Ensure alignment between category priorities and country execution.

  • Drive demand planning and allocation strategy in a constrained environment.

5. Performance Management & Insights

  • Track category performance through strong analytics (sell-out, market share, ROI).

  • Derive actionable insights to continuously optimize strategy and execution.

  • Lead regular business reviews with senior leadership.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Minimum 12 years in category management, product management, or business leadership roles

  • Strong exposure to gaming, consumer electronics, peripherals, or adjacent ecosystems

  • Proven track record of driving high-growth categories and managing P&L ownership

  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, gaming trends, and digital platforms

  • Experience working across multi-country/regional roles is preferred
