Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assisting on Handbag and fashion sales – Paris and exports.
  • Gather all compliance documents & perform the provenance procedures in order to facilitate the work of the sales coordinator.
  • Liaison with experts ( Paris and abroad ) to ensure prompt advice and service to our customers.
  • Efficient handling of client enquires over the telephone and at the front desk
  • Liaising with outside consultants once consigned goods are approved by HOD
  • Property control - maintaining control of property in and out of the department. Handling of property including wrapping items.
  • Cataloguing property for sale.
  • Overseeing departmental photography in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Despatching property / shipping enquiries.
  • Helping proof the catalogues.
  • Assisting with gallery set-up, and on-hand for press calls.
  • In time assisting in the preparation and sending of condition reports for the department sales
  • General office management, keeping stationary stocked and keeping records and files in order for: customers, sales and the teams.
  • Supporting the specialists in their research and assisting with producing formal valuation reports.
  • Occasional help with coordinating departmental events.
  • Dealing with VIP clients in a considerate and confidential manner.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Interest in Collectibles and first experience in this expertise field
  • Excellent word processing skills, knowledge of MS word and Excel
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to be discrete and keep confidentiality
  • Flexibility and the ability to be a team player
  • Fluent in French and English, an additional European language is a plus
