The ward of Tennyson includes Chelmer, Fairfield, Graceville, Sherwood, Tennyson, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Corinda and parts of Oxley and Annerley. Perched on the banks of the Brisbane River and Oxley Creek, Tennyson Ward is home to heritage neighbourhoods, small businesses and organisations and beautiful green spaces. We maintain our distinctive identity thanks to the many schools, sporting clubs, and community groups that residents champion.
Ward Officer
A unique opportunity exists for a highly motivated, customer focused person to join Tennyson Ward Office as a Ward Officer. As part of a small team, your role will be to ensure the effective administrative operation of the Councillor's Ward Office as well as liaising effectively with the community, residents and other stakeholders in their interactions with Brisbane City Council. Knowledge (or the ability to obtain) of the local landmarks, streets and community groups is desirable but not mandatory.

This is a casual position covering annual leave, sick leave and other leave arrangements or additional relief work as needed.
