Join our team on Waitepeka Farm as a casual Calf Rearer and play a key role in rearing our next generation of dairy heifers and dairy beef cattle.
You’ll be responsible for caring for young calves, feeding, weighing, drafting, drenching, and monitoring their health and welfare. You may also assist with general farm duties when required.
This is a drive in/drive out role, so reliable transport is required.
Whether you’re bringing experience from the farming sector or looking to take your first step into the industry, we’d love to hear from you. We provide training and support to help you build your skills and succeed in the role.

The Waitepeka Complex is just five minutes from Balclutha and close to the stunning Catlins region. It consists of two dairy farms — Dunns (270 ha) and Lansdown (260 ha) — milking approximately 1,400 cows, along with a 211 ha support block where this role is based.
Each dairy farm has its own dedicated Farm Manager and team, while the support block plays a key role in raising calves and supporting overall herd development.
