JOB TITLE: Casual Storeroom Coordinator

• as-needed basis

WORK SCHEDULE: Days

DEPARTMENT: Materials Management

To maintain supply issue/delivery, to fill and deliver all orders, daily and weekly and maintain record keeping accuracy and productivity at a rate of 95% of standard. Maintain accurate inventory system. Receive and distribute incoming supplies and equipment and mail to appropriate departments upon receipt. Prepare outgoing shipments.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Controls, stores and accurately issues all items stored in inventory.
2. Removes items issued from inventory and charge to using departments in the Materials Management Information System.
3. Coordinates the distribution/delivery of hospital and clinical supplies with user departments on a scheduled basis. Knowledge of clinical areas necessary for this function.
4. Prepares all outgoing mail, both going to post office and off site to our satellite locations. Sorts all incoming mail and distributes in a timely manner.
5. Receives and distributes incoming supplies to appropriate departments. Checks packing slips against items received to ensure proper receipt.
6. Makes local offsite pickup and deliveries as required including transportationof specimens, medical equipment and bank deposits.
7. Notifies the purchasing office when supplies reach reorder points or critically low levels.
8. Maintains a neat clean and safe work environment using good storage/distribution techniques including proper location, rotation, identification, documentation and organization. Handling and storing of sterile supplies.
9. Assists in taking inventory.
10. Assists in other functions as assigned by the Materials Manager.
11. Calls vendors for un-received items to check status and verify any mis-shipped items.
12. Maintains departmental weekly order sheets in Excel.
13. Trains staff on the use of the Materials Management Information system.
14. Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
2. Related job experience in storage and distribution helpful and preferred.
3. Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and terminology.
4. Must work as a team member.
5. Must possess the ability to deal courteously and professionally with patients and staff members.
6. Must have integrity, honesty and the ability to maintain strictest confidence of all patient and organizational activities at all times.
7. Excellent verbal, telephone and customer service skills required.
8. Must possess a valid Minnesota driver's license and needs to be able to be onthe company insurance policy.
9. Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
10. Ability to operate the electric pallet jack.
11. Basic Microsoft knowledge to include Outlook and Excel.
