We are seeking passionate and skilled Perioperative Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne, across our four sites of Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

This is a casual position within our Resource Unit and is your opportunity to work within a leading surgical environment that continues to grow — with significant expansion in Orthopaedic, Neurosurgery, and Cardiothoracic surgery, and the completion of our major redevelopment featuring new operating theatres, ICU, maternity services, and inpatient wards

In this rewarding opportunity you will have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts and if your scrub scout experience lies in any of the following specialties, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Orthopaedic

  • Neurosurgery

  • Cardiothoracic

  • Colorectal / UGIS

  • Plastics

  • Ophthalmology / Vitreoretinal

  • Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

ABOUT YOU:
As an outstanding Perioperative Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse you are passionate about playing a vital role in providing exceptional surgical care.

Your skills and experience include:

  • Minimum 2 years’ recent perioperative nursing experience (Registered or Enrolled Nurse)

  • At least 12 months’ specialty scrub/scout experience

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Post Graduate Certificate (or working towards) in Perioperative Nursing (desirable for RNs)

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing multidisciplinary team

  • Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality patient care

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
