About the role

Our Donor Centres in Brisbane are seeking casual Donor Services Nursing Assistants who have fantastic customer-facing experience and a genuine passion to deliver an exceptional service to our donors. As a Nursing Assistant, you will support our donors & team to help complete donation process, while working collaboratively to achieve collection targets. A day in the centre could see you: 

  • Set up machines, various tubing and collection bags 

  • Remove needles safely after collection of whole blood, plasma, and platelets 

  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation 

Our paid and flexible training program has a balance between on-the-job practice, and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported.

Besides having a real passion to deliver an amazing donor experience, you’ll need to be able to: 

  • Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs 

  • Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products 

  • Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday

  • Open to work at Donor Centres and Donor Mobile Units across Greater Brisbane Metro
