We are seeking experienced security professionals for casual Security Guard positions (Level 2) at the brand-new purpose-built Brisbane International Cruise Terminal. Your responsibilities can be varied and challenging, as well as professionally rewarding.
The Maritime Security Guard’s key responsibility is to ensure access to the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal on ship days is controlled and limited to authorized persons only and that these persons are displaying the correct accreditation.
We are looking for someone that is flexible with open availability to work and wants to work, especially during our busiest periods between October and April.
What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Provide security services across the Terminal and assist in developing measures to minimise the exposure to security risk
Curb side management
Access control
Gatehouse operations
Asset protection
Compliance checks
Emergency and first aid response as required
Traffic control
Control room operations (as required)
Tasks as required by PBPL operations
Comply with all Spotless/Downer policies and SOPs
What You’ll Bring (experience required)
Current Queensland Security License Class 1
First Aid and CPR HLTAID011/009
Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain
The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Exceptional personal presentation and professional conduct
Previous Maritime Security Guard / Screening experience highly regarded, but not essential
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in security preferably in an airport, terminal setting with screening as highly regarded
