The Opportunity

This is a hands-on night shift role with our Barrier team based in Port Adelaide, South Australia, suited to someone who enjoys practical work in a dynamic operational environment.

The role covers barrier handling and installation, yard duties, forklift operation, equipment loading and unloading, and delivery work. You will also support our Electronics team with deliveries, towing equipment, and the safe transport of equipment to and from customer sites.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Load, unload and move concrete and steel barriers using a 16-tonne forklift
• Assist with barrier preparation, installation and site-based works
• Support yard operations, including equipment handling, staging, storage and stocktakes
• Complete required documentation, including SWMS, pre-starts, checklists, load records, item counts and photos
• Use digital systems to track tasks and maintain accurate records
• Communicate effectively with customers and support site operations
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet operational priorities
• Undertake work in high-risk environments in line with safety procedures

What You Will Bring:

• Proven forklift experience, with 16-tonne forklift experience highly regarded
• Experience in yard, construction, transport or similar operational environments
• Confidence using hand tools, equipment and digital systems
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a professional approach
• Strong attention to detail and good time management
• A practical, problem-solving and can-do attitude

Licences & Requirements

• A valid High Risk Forklift Licence
• A current Driver’s Licence
• Demonstrated experience towing trailers and operating heavy equipment on public roads
• A valid White Card
• HR Licence or willingness to obtain one — highly regarded
• Riggers Licence or willingness to obtain one — highly regarded
• Availability to work night shifts and overtime as required
