Contract: Casual PTL – initially 10 weeks

Hours: 8 hours per week

Are you an experienced Netball Coach looking for an opportunity to lead and develop a college-level Netball Academy?

We’re looking for a Head Coach to lead the New College Netball Academy, overseeing training, fixtures, trials and the day-to-day organisation of the programme. You’ll work closely with the College team to support player development, ensure high-quality coaching and help promote the Academy.

What you'll do

  • Plan and deliver group and individual Netball training sessions.
  • Oversee training programmes, fixtures and match-day arrangements.
  • Organise and lead player trials.
  • Monitor and report on player progress, setting SMART targets.
  • Manage coach rotas and ensure sessions and fixtures are appropriately staffed.
  • Liaise with players, parents, coaches, College teams and external leagues.
  • Ensure training facilities and equipment are safe and suitable.
  • Support the promotion and development of the New College Netball Academy.
  • Maintain accurate records, registers and match results.

What we're looking for

  • FA Level 2 coaching qualification as a minimum and hold or be working towards a UEFA B certificate, including FA Safeguarding.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous experience as a Netball Coach at academy or county level.
  • Experience of playing Netball.
  • Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
  • A self-motivated and flexible approach to work.
  • Willingness to work weekends when required.
