We’re always on the lookout for casual support across our farming operations during the busy seeding and harvest seasons. Solterra Agriculture operates two large scale cropping farms, Coolana near Forbes, NSW, and Worral Creek between Talwood and Mungindi, QLD.

If you’re keen to join a large team that values safety and mateship, this is the opportunity for you. We offer well maintained equipment, competitive pay rates and on farm accommodation.

What’s life like on the farms?

Coolana is a 9,500 hectare broadacre cropping operation near Forbes, NSW, with a strong focus on efficient and high performing farm operations.

Worral Creek is a large scale combined operation, consisting of irrigated cotton and dryland cropping across approximately 7,500 hectares in the Border Rivers region of southern Queensland.

Both farms are part of Solterra Agriculture, with a strong focus on safety, innovation, people and long term performance. We’re committed to providing meaningful opportunities for our people and creating a positive impact on the communities and environments in which we operate.

Job Description

Key responsibilities (depending on skills and experience):

  • Assisting with planting
  • Supporting harvest operations
  • Driving tractors
  • Operating and moving irrigation pivots
  • Minor maintenance and cleaning
  • Working collaboratively in a team

Qualifications

What we would like to see in you:

  • You’re committed to seeing tasks through to the end.
  • You have a strong focus on safety.
  • You thrive in a team environment and enjoy contributing to shared success.
  • You hold Australian working rights through a Working Holiday Visa or another valid visa.
  • You have a driver’s licence (and ideally, your own car).
