Hours of Work

This is a casual unionized position. Shifts are assigned based on seniority big system, as well as operational requirements, and regular hours are not guaranteed. This role offers flexibility and is well suited for individuals who can accommodate varying schedules and work assignments based on operational needs.

Ebus BC operates 365 days per year and requires open availability for scheduling purposes. Successful candidates must be available to work:

• Days
• Evenings
• Weekends
• Statutory Holidays
• Overnight Assignments

What You’ll Do:

• Safely operate Ebus motorcoaches on scheduled line-runs, charter services, and special assignments between Alberta and British Columbia.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming and professional travel experience.
• Conduct pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Assist passengers with baggage and travel-related inquiries.
• Load, unload, and secure luggage and parcels.
• Adhere to assigned schedules, routes, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and required documentation.
• Safely navigate varying weather, traffic, and roadway conditions.
• Represent Red Arrow and Keolis Canada in a professional and cordial manner both on and off the road.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Class 1 or Class 2 Driver's Licence with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Minimum five (5) years of commercial driving experience.
• Previous passenger transportation experience is strongly preferred.
• Clean Driver's Abstract and commitment to safe driving practices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
• Ability to assist passengers with luggage and meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight assignments as required.
• Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Screening.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience In The Following:

The following qualifications and experience are considered assets, but are not required:

• Professional motorcoach operations
• Public transit operations
• Charter or tour services
• Passenger transportation environments
• Customer-facing transportation roles
• Bilingual communication skills

Please note: Preference may be given to candidates with previous passenger transportation experience and a demonstrated commitment to customer service.

What We Offer:

• Daily Rate:
• Earn $1.01 per/mile on scheduled runs
• $32.00 per/hr for any time worked beyond the scheduled trip duration
• $30.00 per/hr for training hours
• Unionized Position: This is a casual, unionized position, meaning there are no guaranteed hours or set schedules. Available shifts are based on operational needs and awarded through a seniority bidding system.

Please note: Compensation, benefits, premiums, and employment provisions will be governed by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
