We value passion, optimism, and an appetite for change - for the better. Here, you’ll be part of the team, empowered to explore more, experience more and supported by your leader to grow and develop.

The Role

We're currently seeking Casual Chefs to join Crown Casual Staffing (CCS) — Crown Melbourne's casual workforce.

CCS offers a unique opportunity to work across a variety of Crown's award-winning restaurants, bars, events, and culinary operations. Rather than being assigned to one venue, you'll have the flexibility to work across multiple outlets, gaining exposure to different kitchens, cuisines and service styles while building your own roster to suit your lifestyle.

As a Chef, you’ll create joyful moments through genuine care and connection, guided by Crown’s 4Cs of Service Excellence— Be Courteous, Connect, Create, and Care—ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to elevated hospitality.

In this role you'll be:

  • Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment

  • Supporting daily kitchen operations across a variety of outlets and events

  • Maintaining exceptional food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards

  • Ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail in all food production

  • Collaborating with diverse culinary teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences

  • Contributing to a positive team culture and operational excellence across multiple venues

What you'll bring

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (essential)

  • Previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen environment

  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP requirements

  • Ability to adapt quickly and work across different kitchen environments

  • A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

  • A passion for delivering quality food and exceptional guest experiences

What we offer you

  • Complimentary meals while on shift.

  • Free laundered uniforms.

  • Discounts across Crown’s retail and dining outlets.

  • Career development and training opportunities.

  • Access to staff parking and public transport discounts.

Applications Close: Thursday 9th July 2026
