Hours: Up to 40 hours, dependent on the needs of the business
Work Pattern: Includes Weekends, bank holidays and evenings
Duration: Permanent - Zero Hour Contract
West Midlands Safari Park is currently recruiting for a Casual Chef to join our venues and lodges section.
This is an exciting opportunity, we are looking for applicants who can support the kitchen in delivering high-quality food and excellent guest experiences by preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to company standards. The Casual Chef will assisst with daily kitchen operations, maintain food safety standards, and contribute to clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
About You
The role requires someone who is confident, motivated and enthusiastic about delivering the highest quality service and food. The successful applicant will require Food Hygiene level 3 or working towards and Food allergen information rules 9EU FIC 2014) Knowledge. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role.
You will need to be flexible to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends, bank holidays and evenings. You will have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, be able to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and have a good understanding of Food Hygiene and Food safety practices.

What we are
West Midlands Safari Park is an award-winning visitor attraction, located in Worcestershire in the heart of England. It is home to some of the World's most beautiful and critically endangered species, with a four-mile Safari Drive, Safari Walk with a Discovery Trail, African Village and Lemur Woods, allowing guests to experience up close encounters with hundreds of amazing animals. Guests can also choose from a wide range of catering and retail outlets, as well as enjoying a large amusement area with over 21 rides and attractions providing the ideal venue for family days out.
In 2021, the park introduced Safari Lodges, luxury accommodation allowing guests to stay overnight for the first time. Guests can wake up to incredible sights of elephants, giraffe, rhinos, hippos and red pandas, or sleep just a 'whisker' away from lions, tigers and cheetahs.
In addition, the park is home to three incredible venues - Spring Grove House, Treetops Pavilion and Cellarz, which play host to weddings, corporate events and social celebrations.
