Casual Breakfast Chef – Residence Inn Edinburgh

About the Role

As part of our breakfast kitchen team, you'll play a hands-on role in preparing and presenting a high quality buffet breakfast for our guests. You'll work alongside a motivated, close-knit team in a clean, well-run kitchen where standards matter and good food is taken seriously.

Shifts are typically early morning, giving you your afternoons and evenings free.

This is a casual role offering flexibility for you rand us, pick up shifts that suit you while supporting our team when we need it most.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook breakfast items to recipe, quality, and presentation standards

• Set up and maintain the flow of hot and cold breakfast items throughout service

• Ensure correct portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of all food items

• Monitor food quality and quantity throughout the shift

• Maintain food logs and uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times

• Communicate clearly with the wider kitchen and front of house teams

• Keep your work area clean, organised, and fully compliant with HACCP guidelines

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of relevant kitchen experience

• A food hygiene certificate or equivalent is desirable

• A positive, team-first attitude and a genuine love of good food

• Reliability and professionalism, even on a casual basis

• Flexibility to cover shifts across any day of the week
