Steel Dynamics

Work with the Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, Millwrights, Electricians, Shift Supervisors, and Operators to drive the Casting production goals. Focus will be on safety and assisting operations as needed to ensure uptime and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work with maintenance and SMS/SDI operational groups to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Inspect electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work within a team environment.
  • Operating mobile equipment, troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC electrical systems and components, fluid power systems, mechanical power transmission systems, water systems, pneumatic systems, material handling systems, etc.

Qualifications

Required:

  • An excellent safety and attendance record.
  • Previous electrical maintenance experience. Mechanical maintenance experience a plus.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components and systems, as well as read blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and water systems.
