A Caster Strand Tender/Slide Gate Operator is a teammate on the caster deck that is required to safely conduct normal operations of the Caster and assist with maintenance activities. The teammate will set up the caster to safely produce as many quality tons as possible within each shift, safely conduct preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure efficient operations, and assist the Caster Technician as needed.
