Rolls-Royce has an opportunity for a Caster

The PCF Furnace Room is responsible for the transformation of a ceramic mould in to a cast product. Working in a fast-paced environment you will be responsible for the monitoring and operation of the casting furnaces.

Applicants should also be aware that they will be working in a hot environment where there is also an amount of physical activity including lifting; bending, twisting and walking are also involved.

Successful applicants will be able to work to technical instructions, tight specifications and drive for continuous improvement

Who we are looking for:

Whilst previous experience working in a casting environment is preferential it is not essential. Full training will be given to successful candidates that will cover all elements of the role. We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals who are willing to work flexibly to support business requirements. A diligent person who can understand the importance of HS&E procedural requirements and compliance.

  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent literacy and numeracy.
  • High level of manual dexterity.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience of working in aerospace industry
  • Experience of working to Technical instructions.
  • Good organisation skills, numerical and reasoning skills.
  • Experience of working as part of a high performing team.
  • Basic IT skills

Depth of Experience

Whilst previous experience working in an aerospace component casting environment is preferential it is not essential. Full training will be given to successful candidates that will cover all elements of the role.

Industry Experience

Experience of working in aerospace industry is desirable but not essential.

Required Certification / Accreditation

GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent literacy and numeracy
