Loads and removes shells from ovens.
Helps transport and pour ladles of molten metal. Pushes and turns ladles to pour metal.
Deslags molten metal being poured. Skims slag from degas and surface of molten metal using scoop.
Removes cast shells from pressure pots, loads conveyor and moves cast shells out of foundry for cooling.
Transfers shells from dewax to casting area.
Loads, moves and unloads melting stock as necessary.
Is responsible for general housekeeping of the area.
Follows necessary safety precautions in operating equipment to protect eyes, hands, and body.
Moves casting by hand or by using hand cart with hoists. Scrapes and cleans crucibles at end of work week.
Operates furnace doors and temperature controller on ovens.
Operates and controls temperature on melt pots.
Operates forklift as needed.
Makes chemistry addition to melts when required by spectrograph operator.
Analyses spectro’s.
Operate wax transfer
Performs other duties as required.
