Manage and direct all aluminum casting operations, including melting, casting, and sawing, to meet production goals while ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and maintenance standards.

What you will be doing

  • Drive Safety to be engrained in the culture of the Cast House employees
  • Responsible for performance management evaluation process for the Cast House team members
  • Willingness and ability to hold subordinates accountable for their areas of responsibility
  • Responsible for training records up to date for both direct and indirect reporting employees
  • Responsible for maximizing scrap utilization and minimizing prime utilization
  • Responsible for Cast House Quality for internal and external customers – monitoring metal chemistry
  • Accountable for on time delivery to the next customer both internal and external
  • Responsible for Cast House productivity and execution of standard processes and procedures
  • Responsible for accurate reporting of the DAR (Daily Activity Report)
  • Pulls from all resources to ensure that continuous improvement is engrained in the workforce culture
  • Responsible for problem solving and corrective actions
  • Responsible for making the monthly spending budget for the Cast House
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a 1 to 3-year and 3 to 5-year Capital plan
  • Responsible for developing action plans and the execution of plans for large events within the Cast House
  • Maintain a good working relationship with the Central Metals Group
  • Maintain all Cast House training records and annual Training Checklist
  • Completing annual reviews of JSA’s and LTV procedures
  • Accountable for staffing plan of the Cast House
  • Responsible for the development of Cast House Supervisors and Team Leaders
  • Sponsor and support of all Continuous Reliability Improvement standards and practices through implemented predictive measures
  • Other duties as assigned

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the aluminum casting, extrusion or related industry
  • Minimum of 5 years’ of prior supervisory experience in manufacturing

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Metallurgy or equivalent preferred
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
