Requirements

We are looking for an experienced
Cassandra Database Administrator
to manage, optimize, and support distributed Cassandra environments for high-scale, mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cassandra architecture, performance tuning, automation, and cloud/on-prem deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Design, deploy, configure, and support Cassandra clusters (cloud & on-prem).

• 
  Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize throughput and latency.

• 
  Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and data replication strategies.

• 
  Implement data modeling, compaction, sharding, and consistency policies.

• 
  Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for efficient integration.

• 
  Automate DBA tasks using scripting/tools.

• 
  Handle upgrades, migrations, patching, and security configurations.

• 
  Perform root-cause analysis and production support.

• 
  Mentor team members and promote best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• 
  6–10+ years DB experience
  with
  3+ years in Apache Cassandra.

• 
  Strong knowledge of Cassandra internals (Gossip, Partitioning, Repair, Hinted Handoff).

• 
  Experience in multi-DC, cloud, or hybrid environments.

• 
  Proficiency in scripting (Python/Shell/Ansible).

• 
  Experience with tools like
  nodetool, cqlsh, OpsCenter.

• 
  Strong data modeling, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.

• 
  Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
