Job Description

It is the primary responsibility of the Casino Porter to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of the property’s public areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. Responsibilities include maintaining casino floor areas, public walkways, restrooms, restaurants, retail outlets, office spaces, and property entrances. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, procedures, and service standards.

This is a union position and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Specific Job Functions:

• Responsible for practicing, supporting, and always promoting the Company and Departmental Service Standards
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout assigned public areas of the property
• Sweep and maintain casino floor areas including slot machine sections, walkways, and high-traffic guest
  areas
• Clean slot machines, chairs, ashtrays, slot stands, walls, pillars, storage areas, and change booth exteriors
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms including toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, countertops, and flooring using approved cleaning chemicals and procedures
• Vacuum carpets and maintain flooring in restaurants, retail stores, public walkways, and office areas
• Dust, clean, and maintain shelves, windows, mirrors, fixtures, and other assigned surfaces
• Dust mop, wet mop, and maintain marble and hard surface flooring throughout the property
• Sweep sidewalks, entrances, and driveways while maintaining exterior cleanliness standards
• Remove trash and replace liners in designated receptacles throughout assigned areas
• Maintain office cleanliness including carpets, windows, walls, shelves, cabinets, and work areas
• Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests and questions when encountered on the casino floor or public areas
• Properly use, handle, and store cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, maintenance concerns, or guest incidents to leadership
• Maintain professionalism and a positive guest-service attitude while working in highly visible guest areas
• Perform all other job-related duties as assigned

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

• Minimum six (6) months experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, porter, or related cleaning services required
• Previous experience in a hotel, casino, resort, or other high-volume public environment preferred
• Minimum six (6) months guest service or guest-facing experience preferred
• Knowledge of general cleaning supplies, chemicals, and cleaning equipment required
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in fast-paced, high-traffic environments
• Ability to maintain professionalism and guest service standards while working in public-facing areas
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in written form

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently throughout the shift
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-traffic casino and public environments
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and janitorial tools
• Ability to work around noise, smoke, varying temperatures, and large guest crowds
