Partners with the Director of Marketing to manage the Account Development (AD) Host Team to execute the Casino Marketing strategies for Harrah’s/Horseshoe Council Bluffs.
Personally develops and maintains excellent relationships with VIP players while creating a differentiated service experience through management of the AD team.
Tracks, evaluates, and holds accountable the performance of Executive Hosts including all Bright Spots metrics and overall service.
Achieves desired results in all areas of responsibility through staff development and training programs, established methods, procedures and guidelines to maintain desired standards, and high quality service. Then, monitors results through inspection, evaluation and analysis. Makes changes if necessary to achieve end result.
Assists in coordination of all host functions both on and off property including communication between the Casino Sales Team in Las Vegas, property AD Team, Food and Beverage Team, and all other departments to produce positive results.
Management accountability for all Team Members for day to day and long term operations to include hiring, training and developing Team Members which includes coaching, mentoring and appropriate performance management up to and including separation.
Develops good working relationships and maintains effective communication with other departments to secure and maintain their cooperation for assistance with promotions and events.
Responsible for scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business demands to ensure optimal operations and customer satisfaction during all business hours.
Actively participates in telephone solicitation and coordinates personalized direct mailings for authorized reps and cities.
Uses the company transportation resources to transport VIP guests to the property. Chartered aircraft, commercial airfare blocks, and motor coaches.
Works with Promotions, Advertising, Entertainment, Sales, and Operations Departments and all internal departments, vendors, agencies and Team Members for the development, implementation and analysis of incoming partnerships and sponsorships to directly reduce costs, drive revenue and add value to the property programming.
Clearly communicates programs/services to necessary people, seeks their support and keeps them informed of changes that may impact the business.
Must make sound comping decisions including room, food and airfare arrangements.
Responsible for financial results that meet or exceed budget expectations for revenue generation and cost control.
Presents oneself as a credit to Company and encourages others to do the same.
Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
2 years progressively more challenging role in casino marketing/player development or operations with lead or supervisory experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Good oral and written communication skills including tact when dealing with difficult customers, must be fluent and literate in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational ability.
Ability to perform effectively under significant pressure typically associated with meeting the demands and timetables of the gaming industry.
Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Microsoft Outlook.
Knowledge of player tracking systems (CMS/WINet/SMART and other databases)
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
Ability to understand and analyze Budget & P&L Statements.
Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors.
Ability to stand and walk, and mobility to move easily around entire property for entire shift. Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 20 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
Must be able to maintain a neat, well-groomed, professional appearance and uphold the company appearance standards.
Adheres to departmental and company policies and maintains compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements.
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 20 lbs., and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and stack. Must be able to run on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs.

Must be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Will be subject to call 24 hours in case of emergency or facility need.
