Job Description

Start Rate: PG 07 | Full-time | 2nd Shift M-F

Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Painter, you will repair casino walls, equipment, buildings, and other structural surfaces, using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Repair interior walls or ceilings of rooms with decorative wallpaper or fabric. You will report to the Maintenance Manager on duty.

Primary Tasks:

1. You will apply protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish, lacquer, or other related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment, and other structures.

2. Remove old paint to prepare surface before painting.

3. Washes, scrapes, sands, torches, and smooth interior and exterior surfaces before painting, varnishing, lacquering, or applying other related materials.

4. Clean equipment, paint mixing area, and work area.

5. Operate compressors, striping machines, sandblasters, spray equipment, and other small power equipment.

6. Installs, repairs, and maintains drywall, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing.

7. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Ability to read measuring tools, such as tape measures, rulers and modern laser devices, to the nearest fraction
  • Must have 5 years of working experience as a Painter and Paperhanger
  • Follow established procedures of the Choctaw Nation, Choctaw Casinos, and local management
