Job Description

This position typically starts at $16 per hour plus tips (generally earning $2-3 in tips per hour) and works a variable schedule, must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members begin accruing PTO starting on day one, and fulltime employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days.

Distribute monies to gaming guests via check cashing, credit card cash advances, casino credit and conversion of gaming checks into currency along with other various job duties.

  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; arrives on time in a clean uniform with required name tag, ID, and licenses, ready to work with a positive, readytolearn attitude.

  • Greets guests and team members warmly and professionally, supporting our Family Style Service culture.

  • Works a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

  • Ensures accountability of all transactions through verification and documentation of exchanges.

  • Maintaining all funds entrusted to him/her on a shift basis; providing prompt, friendly, and courteous service to all guests.

  • Promotes positive interaction with guests and employees at all times by providing a fun-filled, entertaining environment through flawless delivery and execution of services.

  • Responsible for the makeup and verification of bankrolls by supplying currency and gaming checks for all money-handling departments.

  • Responsible for the operation of assigned customer or employee window, performing all transactions with guests/employees in a confidential manner.

  • Adhering to state and federal regulations.

  • Adhere to departmental and company policies along with working with other cashiers and supervisors.

  • Maintains internal controls through immediate reports concerning shortages, errors, or discrepancies.

  • Ability to count currency and chips of various denominations individually stacked or racked.

  • Redeems various marketing/promotional coupons.

  • Acts as a source of information for guests or refers guest to appropriate staff or facility.

  • Understands various gaming regulations and passes quarterly and annual exams.

  • Cashes personal checks and obtains cash advances on credit cards for patrons.

  • Process casino credit applications and transactions.

  • Ability to suggest/cross sell property or company events, promotions and amenities.

  • Must be able to work independently along with a team mentality.

  • Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push and pull above/below the shoulders a minimum of 25 lbs. or more.

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time or entire shift.

  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and maintain composure in stressful situations.

  • Is able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Mathematical abilities including addition and subtraction/accurate record keeping strongly required.

  • Must have the dexterity to grip and work necessary items (chips, 10 key adding machine, money bags, computers, money, etc.).

  • Must be at least 18 yrs. of age.

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.

  • Communicates effectively and maintains positive working relationships with guests, coworkers, and management.

  • Must pass the required background check.

  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform, with slip resistant shoes. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
