CASHIER/SERVER
- To maintain schools and other facilities to the extent that students and employees can work in a healthy and safe environment.
- To work collaboratively with the department and building administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
- Excellent attendance record.
- Fluent written and verbal English and Arabic are preferred.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to learn POS Systems as a cashier.
- Ability to create and count currency change back.
- Ability to balance the cash drawer at the end of the day.
- Supervises students in the cafeteria during lunch periods, including serving lines, while they eat, and during cafeteria dismissal.
- Maintains discipline in the cafeteria according to school policies.
- Reports all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately, or as soon as reasonably possible.
- Assists students in securing trays, food, seating, and dismissal.
- Assists cafeteria staff in cleaning up spills, accidents, and other incidents.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Complies with and supports school and department regulations and policies.
- Models non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
- Communicates effectively and efficiently with the cafeteria staff to address students' needs.
- In some instances, the monitor may also be responsible for monitoring the children during recess, as students must be supervised at all times.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Performs occasional lifting and carrying of objects up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Work involves medium to heavy lifting of boxes, reaching, pushing, pulling, stooping, climbing, maneuvering in confined spaces, and prolonged standing and walking. The work requires exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, and odors commonly associated with cooking, cleaning, and school in general.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to reach with their hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- The employee frequently must squat, stoop, or kneel, reach above the head, and reach forward.
- The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the job duties.
- The employee may frequently lift, push/pull, and/or move such items as food trays or mobile food carts, cleaning supplies, pails, trash receptacles,
