What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Efficiency & Accuracy – Process customer purchases quickly and accurately while handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with confidence.
  • Customer Focus – Greet customers warmly, answer questions, assist with product inquiries, and provide support both in-store and over the phone.
  • Teamwork – Collaborate with fellow team members to keep operations running smoothly and support one another during busy periods.
  • Organization & Attention to Detail – Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized checkout area while helping ensure store accuracy and loss prevention.
  • Dependability – Show up on time, ready to contribute, and maintain a professional, positive attitude throughout the day.
  • Positive Energy – Represent Norfolk with friendliness, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional service.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Ability to assist customers with product-related questions
  • 1+ year of cashier or customer service experience preferred
  • Hardware or home improvement retail experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods
  • Comfortable using computers and register systems
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
