
The Cashier is responsible for handling student payments, processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and adherence to financial policies and procedures.
Receive and process student payments (tuition fees, exam fees, Valedictory Service, 6th Form Ceremony, etc.).
Issue official receipts and maintain organized transaction records.
Handle cash, cheque, and electronic payments with accuracy and security.
Assist students, parents, and staff with inquiries about fees, payment plans, and policies.
Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile daily financial transactions.
Prepare and submit daily lodgments and weekly POS (Point of Sale) machine cash-out reports.
Collaborate with the Bursar to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with accounting procedures.
Identify and report any discrepancies or irregularities in transactions.
Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial and student records.

Maintain 100% accuracy in all financial transactions and cash handling.
Deliver timely and courteous service to all stakeholders.
Adhere to all financial policies, procedures, and school regulations.
Ensure financial records are current and error-free.
Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field is an advantage.
Prior experience in cash handling or finance-related roles is preferred.
Knowledge of QuickBooks is beneficial.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Capable of working under pressure and handling multiple transactions accurately.
High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
