Job Summary
Collects payments from customers renting indoor and outdoor tennis courts. Books and cancels reservations for customers. Answers the facility phone to assist with any questions or concerns that may arise. Assists facility manager with various front desk tasks. Often working the front desk without a supervisor around to assist.

Position is located at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center on Campus

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests in the facility
  • Uses the reservation system to collect payment from customers via credit card
  • Uses the reservation system to schedule and adjust court reservations
  • Provides information and answers questions regarding the facility, courts, pricing, etc.
  • Opens and closes facility at beginning and end of shifts
  • Cleans work area by wiping counters, straightening up, and folding towels
  • Answers the main phone for the George S. Eccles Tennis Center
  • Assists Facility Manager and Coaches with various tasks as requested
  • Being the point of contact for all patrons while working
Within the framework of University policy, the Cashier has the authority to carry out transactions related to the collection of payment for fees, fines, tickets, and purchases, and to give directions and respond to general questions. The Cashier is responsible for handling and safekeeping of cash during the shift. Requests for exceptions to policy are referred to the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
