About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic Depot Manager to lead one of our key operational sites within Cash Services. This is a pivotal role for a strategic, people‑focused leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment where operational excellence and continuous improvement drive success.

As Depot Manager, you’ll take ownership of day‑to‑day operations, empower high‑performing teams, and ensure the depot consistently hits service, compliance, and productivity targets. You’ll be the bridge between frontline operations and senior leadership—driving quality, performance, and culture across the site.

If you’re passionate about leading teams, improving processes, and making a meaningful impact on operational performance, this is the opportunity for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead & Inspire

  • Oversee daily depot operations to ensure smooth, efficient delivery of all activities.
  • Support the Head of CVIT in executing departmental strategy and achieving business goals.
  • Lead and develop teams including Operational Shift Managers, CIT Drivers, Vault Operatives, and Technicians.
  • Monitor and manage KPIs to maintain the highest performance standards.
  • Manage training needs, development plans, sickness, leave, and staffing levels.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across the site.
  • Lead workflow optimisation, cost‑saving initiatives, and productivity enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with finance to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Review and refine operational processes to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, digitisation, or process enhancement.

Connect & Communicate

  • Act as a key liaison with other business units, ensuring strong cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Provide clear performance updates, KPI insights, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain a high‑performing, engaged, and accountable team culture.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven leadership experience within operational, logistics, or service‑driven environments.
  • Strong ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience managing KPIs, operational workflows, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Confident handling HR matters such as investigations, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Financial awareness and experience managing budgets or cost‑control processes.

Why Join Us?

  • A leadership role where you can genuinely influence performance, people, and culture.
  • Autonomy to shape operations and implement meaningful improvements.
  • Competitive salary and performance‑based bonus.
  • Opportunities to grow and develop within a major operational division.
  • Be part of a team committed to excellence, innovation, and continual improvement.
