Clean Harbors in Norwell, MA is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cash Applications Intern to support our Accounts Receivable team. This role offers hands-on experience in cash application processes, customer communication, and daily reconciliation activities.

• Draft and send communication letters to customers who are directing checks to the corporate office, redirecting them to the appropriate lockbox.
• Reconcile daily receipts from the Oracle report with incoming payments that have not been processed through the automated system.
• Monitor and manage both the Accounts Receivable and SK Accounts Receivable mailboxes daily.
• Open, sort, and scan all incoming checks received through Accounts Receivable mail, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Allocate and distribute incoming receipts to the appropriate team members for further processing.

• Currently pursuing a degree in any related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks & deliverables.
