As the Cash & Investment Manager of Wake County, you
will be responsible for managing the County’s cash and investments which
includes, but is not limited to, forecasting appropriate and necessary daily
cash liquidity, maximizing earnings of diversified investments in accordance
with NC general statutes, tracking and reconciling cash and investment
balances, reporting cash and investment balances and performance, tracking investment performance and industry trends,
completing required statutory reporting and reporting related to deposits
and investments for ACFR, managing banking and brokerage relationships and
performing other tasks as assigned, while in frequent collaboration with the County’s external investment advisory firm, as necessary.
In this role you will:
Wake County’s Finance Department strives to be an innovative leader in Government Finance by utilizing leading-edge technology to improve business processes, providing timely and accurate financial information, and demonstrating fiscal responsibility through appropriate management and utilization of taxpayer funds. The Finance Department supports and partners with other internal County departments and external organizations to provide efficient and effective customer service.
