Job Description

Reconciles daily cash register sales. Collects and processes cash and coin donations. Prepares bank deposits and coordinates pick-ups with the County’s courier. Audits promotional discounts and guest refund transactions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of six (6) months cash handling experience and a basic understanding of Excel.

• Reconciles daily cash register sales.
• Investigates and reports any cash discrepancies.
• Collects and processes cash and coin donations.
• Prepares bank deposits and coordinates pick-ups with the County’s courier.
• Audits promotional discounts and guest refund transactions.
• Audits weekly parking pass reports and prepares passes for employee distribution.
• Audits monthly promotional theatre pass report.
• Scans and electronically saves documents for retention purposes.
• Collects and distributes daily mail.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of:

• Standard cash handing and accounts receivable processes
• Microsoft Excel
• Standard auditing procedures

Skills and Abilities to:

• Apply accounting and cash handing procedures consistently
• Review work for accuracy and completeness
• Organize workloads and prioritize tasks to adhere to deadlines

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a 18-20 hour per week position. Work is performed in a standard office environment usually Monday/Wednesday/Friday approximately 8:30am-2:30pm.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION

Clark Planetarium is a 7 days per week, 363 days per year operation (closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas only). This is a non-benefited position.
