Our Wirral Missing From Home and Child Exploitation Service works alongside young people, their families and the police to find out what has caused them to run away and prevent them from running away again in the future.
Help is provided for young people who have run away who are at risk of:
Child Exploitation (CE) is recognised in the UK and defined as; “a form of child abuse. It occurs where an individual or group takes advantage of an imbalance of power to coerce, manipulate or deceive a child or young person.
Every three minutes a child runs away from home or care; they could be forced out by their parents or carers or be fleeing conflict or abuse in the home. As a Caseworker (Missing from Home & Child Exploitation) you will work alongside young people, their families and the police to find out what has caused them to run away and prevent them from running away again in the future.
We currently have one vacancy with the service. 1 X PT (3 days per week) for a fixed term maternity cover role, in our Wirral Missing from Home and Child Exploitation Service
You will be supporting children and young people aged 10 to 18 years who are identified as being at risk of exploitation whether they perceive themselves to be at risk or not.

Contract: Fixed term for 9 months (Maternity Cover)
Hours: 22 hours per week, part-time.
Salary:Pro-rated salary £15,516, depending on experience.
You will need to be willing to work flexible hours and if required to work evenings, weekends and anti-social hours.
