About the role

You will lead and manage a youth development program focused on supporting disadvantaged children to build emotional, social, and life skills. This role includes supervising the Youth Worker and Peer Support Worker, preparing contractual reports, and ensuring program compliance and quality. You will also contribute to continuous improvement, represent the program in stakeholder meetings, and strengthen collaborative partnerships to enhance service delivery and outcomes.

About you

You are an experienced youth services professional with a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience. You have a background in working with children or young people, especially those facing disadvantage, and understand the barriers to social engagement they experience. You bring strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to high-quality practice and child-safe environments. You are organized, proficient in administrative tasks, and able to travel within the service area as required.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
